Crisp geometry meets organic form in this leg, inspired by the simplicity and graceful proportions of Finn Juhl’s Scandinavian furniture. Juhl is credited with popularizing Danish Modern design in the U.S. He was selected in 1950 to design and furnish the Trusteeship Council Chamber, one of the most frequented spaces within the United Nations’ headquarters in New York City.

Finn Juhl was the godfather of Danish Modernism in America, designing and furnishing the Trusteeship Council Chamber, one of the busiest, most visited chambers in the United Nations’ headquarters in New York City. His ideas have influenced the style of contemporary American furniture design, as well as American architecture.
